Term 1 Week 4

A few days ago me and my class went to Te Tuhi. We went to do a project called Stories From the Pacific. For this we made a Tapa cloth. We got some paper, coloured it with red pastel, dyed it brown and drew our story. We had to colour in pastel and dye the paper so it look handmade. I didn't know a lot about tapa  but now I know  a lot more than I knew before. I was surprised with how complex it was.

My Reflection

I have been learning to relate to the characters in the text.We have been reading Geogre's Marvellous medicine. I thought of some words to describe Grandma from what I learnt about her in  story.

I found this easy because the teacher helped us.

My next step is to write a paragraph describing Grandma using these words.

I have been learning to identify nouns.  A noun is a thing, a place or a person.  I found this easy because I know what a noun is.  My next step is to be a bit faster.
